Project Details
This was a re-development of a brand new WordPress Template based on their old website. The client wanted to completely renew their branding and the website’s look and feel, as well as having a website which is easy to browse and that meets the modern web standards in terms of style and features.
The Graphic and Layout Design is bespoke and has been made following the client vision and feedbacks. The main idea was to focus on images, and reduce the text content, in particular in homepage and in the top half of each page. Therefore I took advantage of full width top banners with catchy captions, and custom grids that mix text and images in different sizes and with a nice hovering effect to add some dynamics.
90% of the information is provided by the header and the grid boxes, and then if the visitor wants to know more, they can scroll and read the rest of the page with the detailed information.
There are also a couple of full width call to action which break the layout and attract the attention.
The grids are a bespoke functionality which was built taking advantage of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) in combination with custom code within the template files. The client can easily set up grids by freely combining a set of different styles and sizes for the boxes. This feature has been developed basically as a substitute of having separate wp page template files, so that they would function as a sort of visual page builder which allows the client to quickly create custom layouts that will always have the same look and feel to keep consistency across the site.
This WordPress Template comes with shortcodes for bespoke buttons and headings, as well as a subscribe form which is integrated with mailchimp, and there is also a blog and a custom post type forw revies (displayed in a bespoke carousel in the footer).
